Fort Collins photographer Tim Van Schmidt publishes online archive of 1,100 musicians, poets and artists

Fort Collins photographer and writer Tim Van Schmidt is celebrating his 25th year as a Rocky Mountain journalist by opening his extensive photo archives and creating new galleries that display a dizzying array of musicians, poets, artists, dancers and even a few politicians. The brand new, all-original photo galleries, which can be viewed as a slideshow or by individual shots, now appear on Schmidt’s websites, and

Schmidt began his publishing career in 1988 with an upstart independent newspaper in Fort Collins. Today, he is still publishing independently on the Internet. In between, Schmidt wrote for numerous regional newspapers and magazines and got busy with his camera. The work included in Schmidt’s new, free photo galleries is especially representative of his postings on the Internet since 2004 and features a wide variety of artists, from international superstars to local heroes. Some choice material from Schmidt’s newspaper career is also featured.
