Great Turkey Roundup for Wellington Food Bank Tuesday

Wellington schools are helping wrangle frozen turkeys for the Wellington Food Bank tomorrow, Nov. 20. Frozen turkeys can be dropped off before school at Wellington Middle School and Rice Elementary. The birds will be taken directly to the Food Bank for distribution to local families in need for Thanksgiving.

Turkeys can also be taken directly to the Food Bank at Wellington Community Church, 8445 Third St., starting at 12:30 p.m. The turkeys will be distributed beginning at 2 p.m.

The Food Bank, operated by Zion Lutheran Church, will be open on the first and third Tuesdays of December. In January, it will return to normal hours, 2-3 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.

For more information on the Food Bank, contact Mark at 970-568-9301.
