Hike Around, Fix a Trail

Looking for something to do on a summer day? Discover Bobcat Ridge Natural Area! You’ll find a grassy valley, foothills, ponderosa pines, stunning red rock cliffs and more. Bobcat Ridge is home to elk, wild turkey, mountain lions and other wildlife. Several historic homestead sites dot the landscape. On June 2nd from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. volunteers of all ages are invited to help restore the trails in this natural area for National Trails Day. There is plenty to do, including kid-friendly projects and activities. At noon, there will be a free celebratory lunch provided for all those who put in their efforts to keep Colorado and its trails in prime condition. Registration is required and is free. In order to do so, visit www.rei.com/fortcollins.
