The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office assisted Erie Police Department this afternoon in locating an adult female who was reported to be suicidal and armed.
Deputies contacted the female in a vehicle on I-25 south of Prospect Road at about mile marker 267. I-25 and the adjacent west frontage road were briefly shut down while deputies safely took the female into protective custody.
The female has been transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
