IRS workshop will help wildfire survivors sort through tax implications

On Jan. 30 the Offices of Mark Udall and the Board of Larimer County Commissioners will host a presentation and Q&A session with representatives of the Internal Revenue Service.

Lois Deitrich and Tommy McDonald of the IRS will present information which includes how to report any losses related to the High Park and Woodland Heights fires on 2012 tax returns. A representative from Senator Udall’s office will also attend. Coloradans interested in attending are encouraged to bring professional advisers or accounting professionals.

The workshop is 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Hearing Room, Larimer County Courthouse Offices Bldg., 1st Floor, 200 W. Oak St. in Fort Collins.
