Larimer County holds 4th Roadmap to Recovery insurance meeting on Oct. 18

Larimer County will hold a fourth Roadmap to Recovery meeting with United Policyholders on navigating insurance for High Park and Woodland Heights Fire survivors. The workshop takes place on Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hearing Room, 1st floor, Larimer County Courthouse Offices Building, 200 West Oak Street, Fort Collins.

The next Roadmap to Recovery meeting will focus on tips for settling the dwelling portion of the claim, including understanding Xactimate and scopes of loss, as well as strategies for combating lowballing. A Q&A period and insurance interest group breakout sessions where participants will have an opportunity to network with other fire survivors, will both follow the substantive presentation.

The meeting will feature United Policyholders’ Karen Reimus, Disaster Recovery Aid, Outreach and Education for United Policyholders, a non‐profit consumer organization assisting disaster survivors for over 20 years.
