Larimer County Open Lands Advisory Board will decide on Roberts Ranch donation on Jan. 24

The Larimer County Open Lands Advisory Board will meet Jan. 24 to make its recommendation to the Larimer County Commissioners regarding accepting the donation of the Roberts Ranch, a 16,500-acre cattle ranch near Livermore.

In making the decision, the Board will consider information about potential management options and costs, as well as a waste tire site on the property. An opportunity for public comment follows the county staff’s presentation.

The meeting is 5 to 8 p.m. at the Loveland Municipal Building’s City Council Chambers, 500 E. 3rd Street in Loveland. The board will begin at 5 p.m. in Executive Session and then the meeting will be opened to the public at 5:45 p.m.

The Larimer County Commissioners will hold a public hearing regarding the Roberts Ranch donation on Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the first floor Hearing Room of the County Courthouse Offices at 200 W. Oak St. in Fort Collins. After the public hearing, the Commissioners will make a final decision of whether the county will accept the gift of the Roberts Ranch.
