For those of you that haven’t traveled on the newly opened Owl Canyon Road, you will find a new paved roadway alignment that is the extension of County Road 19 between County Road 70 and County Road 72. The intersection of County Road 70 and 19 has also been improved with a new roundabout that was shifted about 150 feet west of the old intersection. West of CR 21, Owl Canyon Road remains as treated gravel.
The roadway is paved to a 40 foot width (two 12′ lanes + 8′ shoulders). The old portions of CR 70 west of CR 19 and CR 21 between CR 70 and CR 72 will become private roads now that the project is complete.
