Larimer County residents invited to special screening of the documentary film Heroes Behind the Badge

Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith is inviting Larimer County residents to attend a special screening of the documentary film Heroes Behind the Badge on Jan. 25 at 6:10 p.m. at the Timberline Church, 2908 South Timberline Road in Fort Collins.

This documentary film features some of the brave men and women of law enforcement from around the country who have put their lives on the line and survived, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Already this inspiring movie is changing the way people look at the men and women of law enforcement by highlighting the unselfish acts of bravery they commit each day in the line of duty.

The film is being sponsored locally by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and Colorado members of the Police Unity Tour (a bicycle tour of police officers to the National Memorial during the annual Police Week memorial) and Wives Behind the Badge to remember the six Colorado law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in 2012.

Ticket prices, which benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and the Police Unity Tour, are $15 in advance (purchase on line, coput.org/hbtb ) with a credit card or $20 at the door with cash, check or credit card.

A trailer of the film can be viewed at nleomf.org/officers/heroes-behind-the-badge.
