Learn about college

A presentation sharing a long name and long-term goal, “It’s Never Too Early to Learn About College” (INTELAC), is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 21 at Colorado State University (CSU). Co-presenters B.A.S.E. Camp and CSU seek to break down barriers to the college experience.

Middle and high school students who register will join a campus-wide treasure hunt that introduces them to classrooms, resident halls, the library, student rec center, some of the colleges and more. A Career Hunt and College Hunt in Johnson Hall offers career possibilities and information about college applications, financial aid, scholarships and other programs. Giveaways and prizes keep youngsters’ interest further piqued while parents receive valuable information about supporting their children throughout college prep and their years of higher learning. Free parking will be available. For additional information about INTELAC, contact Fred Colby, B.A.S.E. Camp Resource Development Director, at 970-266-1734 or by e-mail at fredc@mybasecampkids.org.
