Letter: Donnelly a man of action

Editor:

When something works really well, why change it? That’s the way I feel about Tom Donnelly as Larimer County commissioner! We already have a man of such good character and integrity that I think he should be retained for another term.

Because of Tom’s diligence in making sure Larimer County had a substantial “rainy day fund,” the victims of the High Park Fire and the 2013 floods were able to return to their homes because the county was in a position to get the infrastructure repaired in a timely manner without having to raise taxes.

When the county jail became overcrowded, the commissioners were able to take the pressure off by building a new alternative sentencing building without having to incur bond debt or ask for new taxes.

Tom is involved in Larimer County in so many ways, it is hard to list all of them. He has four children that he and his wife are raising, so he has a vested interested in keeping this community safe, healthy and out of debt. He works with and serves on several boards to ensure these goals.

Please join me and vote for Tom Donnelly this November.
