Letter: Scrubbers at Rawhide were the right thing

Thank you for the article on the Rawhide Energy Station. Glad to hear the scrubbers are so effective. Good to produce only one-tenth of the average sulfur dioxide output of coal-fired plants.

Also, a big thank you to former Commissioner Nona Thayer, who held fast on insisting that this technology be incorporated into the project against some preferences of the majority. Thank you Nona. Even though it might be hard at the time to insist on doing the right thing, we are usually all grateful years down the road, and then brag about it to boot! Well done.
