Letter: Shuffle classes to solve problem

Editor:

I’m a 14-year-old Boy Scout here in Wellington and I noticed the town was thinking of taking the area that would be a pool and rec center and push aside a park that you already spent $180,000 on to build a new middle school extension.

I am training to be on Poudre High School’s swim team and right now I have to drive an hour round trip just to swim. It seems to me that the best solution is to push sixth grade back to elementary and just leave seventh and eighth at Wellington Middle School.

This would save millions of tax dollars and make the school not so crowded. If we do this, we’d be able to get a pool and a park — which seems a lot more important to me.
