Thank you very much for such a terrific start in saving a beloved newspaper in Livermore and surrounding areas. One of the aspects I particularly appreciated was the absence of polarizing political rhetoric. As a result, I was surprised and disappointed to read your snarky October editorial. Nothing new here — just the same old misleading Rush Limbaugh/Frank Luntz talking points.
A suggestion. How about interviews with some actual Occupiers (or go online and read them) and an addendum demonstrating an increased awareness of their concerns?
We cannot fix our country with the kind of denial you exhibit and a media that simply lowers the dialogue to an infantile demonizing of the “other.” This, while our issues are increasingly bipartisan in a country with a frighteningly unresponsive and corrupt government and a plummeting Congressional approval rating of nine percent. Try again.
