Dr. Jerry Wilson, superintendent of Poudre School District, will tender his resignation to the Board of Education at its work session on Tuesday, May 22. If accepted, the resignation will be effective June 30.

In a statement to the board, community and staff, Dr. Wilson said he has enjoyed his time in Fort Collins and appreciates the opportunity to serve the students and PSD community.

“I feel fortunate to have been a part of a great school district and to make a contribution to the excellence in PSD. I wish my PSD friends my very best,” Dr. Wilson said. “I have had the opportunity to work with an outstanding team of professionals, as PSD is fortunate to have remarkable educators working with children every day.”

The Poudre School District Board of Education will go into executive session prior the May 22 work session to discuss and receive legal advice on contractual and procedural issues concerning the superintendent’s resignation and concerning evaluation of options and potential candidates for superintendent succession.
