Rist Canyon fire destroys shed, burns a little over an acre

Rist Canyon Fire, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services and Poudre Fire Authority responded to wildfire Saturday night approximately two miles south of Rist Canyon Road and Davis Ranch Road.

Fire burned 1 1/2 acres. One drop was made by the single engine air tanker.

The structure that was destroyed has been identified as a shed/barn along with a trailer.

No injuries were reported. Traffic was limited on Davis Ranch Road from Rist Canyon Road, but all roads in the area have been reopened.

166 phones received emergency notifications within a two-mile radius of the 400-block of Riley Drive in Bellvue. Evacuations were lifted at approximately 6:35 p.m. The evacuation center at Cache La Poudre School in LaPorte has been closed.
