Sheriff: Call Larimer County's non-emergency line to report illegal fireworks

Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith is asking residents in the unincorporated areas of Larimer County to continue calling the Sheriff’s Office non-emergency telephone number to report fireworks over the holiday weekend. Residents should call 970-416-1985 to report any violations of the fire or firework restrictions.

The Sheriff is asking residents to continue to use the non-emergency number in order to prevent overloading the 911 system and to ensure that true emergency calls are able to get through as quickly as possible.

Open fires are restricted throughout the county and fireworks are restricted west of County Road 19 and north of County Road 60. More information on the restrictions is available at www.larimer.org/news/newsDetail.cfm?id=2087 .
