Mountain Schools Principal Matt Marietta sent a notice to parents last night, Sept. 17:
“The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office has re-evaluated Rist Canyon and has advised us that they are closing the road to non-essential traffic this afternoon. They have also requested that we close school for the remainder of the week. Based on this request, Stove Prairie Elementary will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.”
Status of school for next week on Sunday evening after 5 p.m.
