The Epilogues, Air Dubai, Snake Rattle Rattle Snake part of Colorado lineup for Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest

Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest is revealing its lineup of Colorado talent slated to perform at this year’s annual outdoor music festival in Historic Downtown Fort Collins. The music portion of the festival will feature more than 70 new, emerging and established Colorado bands across six music stages throughout the weekend of August 16-18.

Now in its ninth year, Bohemian Nights will showcase a cast of returning favorites like Fierce Bad Rabbit and The Lionel Young Band, but also feature lesser-known bands looking to build a following. In addition, bands will be getting more time on stage to connect with festivalgoers.

“Over the years, we have increased the number of Colorado bands performing throughout the festival weekend,” said Merry Hummell, Director of Music Events for Bohemian Foundation. “This year we decided to roll back the number to allow each band more time on stage. Extending set times allows bands to add more songs to their sets and increase face time with music fans.”

Since it began in 2005, Bohemian Nights has always been focused on providing a diverse offering of music and that will be no different this season. Festival audiences will have the opportunity to experience a variety of music across popular, contemporary genres.

“Bohemian Nights provides a rich sampling of the incredible diversity of music originating in our state,” according to Liz Barnez, a singer-songwriter herself and Bohemian Foundation Artist Relations Manager. “The festival is a great time to sample the smorgasbord of music on hand, and discover something new. It’s a time to enjoy what you know you love and learn about new types of music that can move you and inspire you.”

Colorado bands playing this year include: Air Dubai, Head For The Hills, Fierce Bad Rabbit, SHEL, Born in the Flood (featuring Nathaniel Rateliff) and The Patti Fiasco. Music starts at 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Each evening a national headliner will be featured at the Mountain main stage locations. The national headliners will be announced June 6.
