Volunteer opportunities with Larimer County Natural Resources

Larimer County Natural Resources is developing new teams of volunteers. Whether your interests are fishing, boating, hiking or resource conservation, we have a program for you. Meet new people, learn new skills, get outdoors and enjoy your parks and open spaces.

• Park Ranger/ Boat Ranger Assistant Team
Volunteer with Larimer County providing support to the Rangers at Carter Lake and Horsetooth Reservoir. Volunteers will provide excellent customer service to reservoir guests, monitor and assist with ramp traffic as guests launch and load boats, assist guests as they leave and approach the docks, serve as the eyes and ears of the rangers to report problems or issues to rangers, and provide information on county policies and regulations.
