The underlying sound of Whippoorwill’s debut release should not be something unfamiliar to frequenters of the NoCo music scene, despite the relatively new name for the duo. Released on 4/20, the project consists of Alysia Kraft (The Patti Fiasco) and singer/songwriter Staci Foster, showcasing the folk-rock/Americana roots of Wyoming and Texas upbringings, respectively speaking. Poised harmonies weave between acoustic ballads and Tom Robbins-inspired Western romps, as both Kraft and Foster highlight impressive artistry and an undeniable musical chemistry.
