Let’s start with a quote by an anonymous author, “A dog can express more with his tail in minutes than his owner can express with his tongue in hours.” The 7th annual Fall Harvest Brewfest presented by Wilbur’s Total Beverage would like to express their continued commitment to the four legged community with a gala to benefit Animal House Rescue & Grooming. On September 11, the festival will wind through the Lincoln Centers’ beautifully reconstructed building, and spill onto the lush statue laden gardens outside. The event will go from 7 to 10pm and will offer a delicious array of foods, craft beers and micro-distilleries, (non-alcoholic options will be available) from some of Northern Colorado’s most popular establishments. Live music will play throughout the night by the bands Tallgrass, and Troubadour Sound Systems or you can get your funk on with the newly featured silent disco. There will be a silent auction, a drawing for a New Belgium bike and a chance to win a free trip to Sayulita, Mexico. Ticket prices range from $37.50 for general admission and $55 for VIP access. Proceeds go to benefit Animal House Rescue & Grooming located at 1104 W. Vine in Fort Collins. The mission of Animal House is to “decrease the euthanasia rate of adoptable animals” by matching dogs with people who will provide them a long-term loving home. Since 2007, Animal House has many brought furry companions into the lives of 4,115 families, and with the help of donations saved the lives of nearly 5,000 animals. In 2014, the festival raised over $15,000 that went toward Animal House achieving its mission to save lives; this year, they would like to surpass that amount. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Fall Harvest website: www.fallharvestbrewfest.com. Tickets can also be purchased from Wilbur’s Total Beverage, the Lincoln Center, and Animal House Rescue & Grooming. There will be a limited VIP event from 6-7pm, before doors open to general admission. For more about the Animal House, or to learn how to adopt a pet or volunteer, visit animalhousehelp.org
