The negative campaign on Amendment 68 focuses on the Rhode Island Casino that will be profiting. These ads are funded by the Las Vegas Casinos in Black Hawk that currently have a monopoly on gambling without any competition.
In addition to bringing millions of dollars to our school system, passing Amendment 68 will enable the horseracing industry to compete with the other eleven states that currently have Racinos.
Without this happening, I fear the 80 year old horse racing industry in Colorado has little chance of surviving.
In addition to providing many jobs at the track and casino, the horse racing industry supports the local agriculture industry that provides the hay, grain and bedding, in addition to supporting the Colorado horse-breeding operations.
Please consider voting Yes on Amendment 68 and help the “Sport of Kings” survive in Colorado!
