Make a Difference Day quilting blitz benefits homeless veterans

The Volunteers of America Colorado Branch will be making 10 lap quilts on Make a Difference Day, Oct. 27. The sewing blitz starts at 8 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. at the Sanctuary Apartments Clubhouse, 3732 Kunz Court in Fort Collins.

The Quilts for Vets will be sewn from signature squares made by various volunteer groups as a 9/11 Day of Service Project, and distributed through Homeless Gear’s Street Outreach Program during the week of Veteran’s Day.
