Traffic signal preparation will affect cyclists and pedestrians through Aug. 27

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Cyclists and pedestrians should plan alternate routes as construction begins at the intersection of Ziegler Road and William Neal Parkway from Aug. 10 through Aug. 27.
The City of Fort Collins is preparing the intersection for the installation of a new traffic signal. During construction, bike lanes on Ziegler Road will be closed, along with sidewalks and trail access on the east side of the intersection. The sidewalk on the west side of Ziegler will remain open.
City officials encourage cyclists to avoid the work zone during the project. Those traveling to or from the Poudre Trail should use Environmental Drive as an alternate route. Additional bicycle route information is available through the City’s Bike Map.
Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians are urged to use caution around the construction area and allow extra travel time.
