Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack toured Obermeyer Hydro, a water control technology manufacturing plant, on Oct. 9 in celebration of National Manufacturing Month.
Obermeyer Hydro, a beneficiary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Business & Industry (B&I) Loan Guarantee Program, is a small manufacturer with plans to expand in the near future. The B&I Program provides affordable financing options to rural businesses, increasing access to capital and improving rural economic health across America. With the help of this funding, Obermeyer Hydro has secured contracts in China and Korea, in addition to ongoing projects in the United States. Investments in American manufacturing create jobs, setting the groundwork for long-term economic growth nationwide.
