ROOP VERMA

One of the world’s premier sitar players is coming to Northern Colorado this November! Roop Verma is an internationally respected sitarist, composer, and accomplished teacher of Indian classical and sacred music. The Sitar is the most popular and respected stringed instrument from North India. Roopji’s training comes from two of the greatest masters of our time: the late maestros Ravi Shankar and Ali Akbar Khan. A concert showcasing Ragas that access the inner layers of the listener’s mind will be held in Loveland on Friday, November 21 at 7 p.m. at the Lake Vista Apartments (2235 Rocky Mountain Avenue). Verma will also lead a Sound Healing and Meditation Retreat on Nov 22-23 from 9:30-6 p.m. This is a rare opportunity to fully experience spiritual music that is deeply meditative, uplifting and healing.
