WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS
The Center for Fine Art Photography, located downtown, 400 North College Avenue. This community-run center showcases local photo- graphers in monthly exhibitions, runs classes and workshops and gives a collaborative space for artists and community members to learn, support and grow within the art of photography. This month’s exhibition include Susan A. Barnett’s Not In Your Face (“Life is just a parade” pictured here), a unconventional series of portraits, of people telling their own story by their choices to wear their messages on their backs. This exhibit runs from February 1-March 30. A second exhibition, “Portraits 2013 Exhibition” is a collaborative gallery, featuring dozens of artists with the theme of stories through portraits. This exhibit runs until March 23. The gallery is part of the First Friday art walk.
